As a part of its regular efforts to monitor developments on behalf of the industry, GSA have published their latest LTE Ecosystem August 2022: Quarterly update.

The GSA note in their news release, that the ‘report covers LTE frequency-division duplex (FDD) and time-division duplex (TDD) models, as well as LTE-related cellular IoT devices standardised by 3GPP as user equipment Cat-M1 and -M2 and Cat-NB1 and -NB2.’

While 5G gathers the headlines these days, the report underlines how much ‘LTE still dominates global mobile telecom services’.
