Liaisons

Image

3GPP Technical Specification Groups (TSGs) and their Working Groups are encouraged to liaise directly with the relevant technical groups – whether within 3GPP or externally – as appropriate.

Liaison statements contain:

1. An Overall Description:
Clearly communicates what is expected from the receiver, i.e., which parts are for information, which questions are expected to be clarified and by whom (especially if there are multiple recipients)

2. Actions:
E.g. “ respectfully requests to take the above into account, and to kindly inform of the decision/response/recommendation, etc.

3. Date of Next Meeting:
Indicates when an answer is needed, e.g., when is the next meeting of the group sending the liaison statement takes place. 3GPP maintains a list of external organizations with which 3GPP has exchanged liaisons. Liaison Statements from external organizations should be sent to 3GPPLiaison@etsi.org to allow proper registration and distribution inside of 3GPP.

This page is maintained by the Liaison Co-ordinator.

Incoming Liaisons Targeted for the Next Meeting
