I am Finnish technology professional, backed-up by world class education both technical and MBA. I am working as a Technical Officer for the Network Operations on 3GPP partnership project. Since end of 1990’s I have been working in a diverse and multi-cultural environment within the 3GPP and ETSI. I have both an operator and a vendor background and my knowledge of telecommunications covers a wide area including Core Network and Radio technologies.

I provide technical support for 3GPP Technical Specification Group Core Network and Terminals (CT) Plenary, CT4 and CT6 working groups.

I graduated from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing with the Master of Science Degree in Telecommunications and Information Systems and obtained MBA degree in General Management at University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki.

Having an operator and a vendor background, my knowledge of communications technologies covers a wide area including Core Network and Radio technologies.

I have standardization experience in 3GPP and ETSI working groups (3GPP CN2, 3GPP CT1, ETSI SCP, ETSI RT).

I provide technical support for 3GPP Technical Specification Group Core Network and Terminals Working Group 1.

I am a specialist in technology strategy and technology standardization, backed up with industry experience in operators and associations. I also come with diverse and professional educational background, where I graduated from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) with B.A. in Physics and Ph.D. in Innovation & Technology Management.

I started my career in KT (Korea Telecom) in the department of technology strategy. Here, I participated in formulating holistic framework of R&D portfolio and in devising strategies for network (fixed and mobile) technology.

From 2015 to 2020, I worked at the GSMA as a networks technical specialist, where I was in charge of facilitation of VoLTE interconnection and roaming initially. From 2017, my responsibility shifted to 5G issues coordination and 5G industry strategy. In the process, I’ve served as the main editor of GSMA whitepapers such as “Road to 5G: Introduction and Migration” and “5G Implementation Guidelines (NSA Option 3 and SA Option 2)”.

Prior to joining ETSI, I briefly worked at TIP (Telecom Infra Project) as a technical specialist accelerating promising telecom start-ups and provided undergraduate level lectures in Korean National Police University and Chungnam National University. I now provide technical support for 3GPP Technical Specification Group Core Network and Terminals (CT) Working Group (WG) 3.

With standardization experience in ETSI (SMG4, SMG2 L1, TFES, MSG) and 3GPP (RAN1, RAN2, RAN3, RAN4) for 2G and 3G from a network manufacturer's point of view, Dr. Joern Krause joined the ETSI Mobile Competence Centre (MCC) in 2008.

Since 2009 he is in charge of 3GPP TSG RAN as Technical Officer in MCC. TSG RAN has 5 working groups (RAN1, RAN2, RAN3, RAN4, RAN5) and develops/maintains the 3GPP Radio Access Network specifications for 2G (GSM/GERAN), 3G (UMTS), 4G (LTE-Advanced), 5G and beyond.

From MCC side he also supports the ITU-R ad hoc group of TSG RAN which coordinates the interworking of 3GPP and ITU-R activities (e.g. on IMT-Adv, IMT-2020, WRC).

After graduating from the "Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Electronique et de Radioélectricité de Bordeaux", my career started as PABX's hardware designer as an expatriate at Philips Communication Systems in the Netherlands.

Back home I worked four years for French-based company called TRT in Private Mobile Radio systems and later on in Wireless Local Loop dept. as a member of the core team in charge of the WLL system architecture definition.I then worked as Technical Manager for Lucent Technologies in charge of the DECT Radio Frequency Design group for four years, managing radio modules design for both Base station and subscriber terminals and join development of antenna with Bell Labs in the US. I spent two more years at LT in same job position responsible for the GSM/UMTS Radio Frequency Design group involved in power amplifier designs.

From 2002 to 2006, I've been driving business development and sales activities for Elektrobit French affiliated company, design house for Telecommunication products and services in the Wireless industry.

From 2007 to 2013, I worked for JCP-Consult as a consultant to 3GPP partnership project in ETSI. ETSI staff since late 2013, I am working as a Technical Officer for the TSG RAN WG1 group, in charge of designing the 3G/4G/5G Radio Layer 1 specifications.

I'm a Finn, although most of my adult life so far I've spent in the UK. I started my telecoms career in 1988 in Nokia Research Center in Espoo, Finland and in 1997 I moved to Cambridge, UK to work for TTP (later TTPCom).

When it comes to various technologies, I've done R&D for both network and mobile handset environments. I started as a protocol engineer but then I drifted downwards until I found myself doing basic radio research. Abbreviations which are, or were, somewhat familiar to me include GSM, DECT, PDC, GPRS, ICO, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, IMS, TD-SCDMA, WiMAX, MIMO and LTE.

I have two degrees (MSc and MPhil) from Finland and a PhD from Cambridge.

I joined the MCC in April 2009 and here I am responsible for the smooth running of TSG RAN3.

I am Korean. I graduated in Information and Communication system in 2001 from Kyungpook National University in Korea.

I started my career in 2001 in LG Electronics as a S/W engineer for GSM mobile phone development and in 2004 I moved to Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA).

I have been working for TTA as a Chief Researcher for various standards committees and ICT Testing & Certification, since 2004.

Main activities were related to ITU-R Working Party 5D(IMT) and 3GPP RAN WG5.

I have joined the ETSI Mobile Competence Centre (MCC) in 2020 as contracted expert of TTA in order to support 3GPP TSG RAN WGs.

I am a seasoned technology professional in wireless communications.

I have standardization experience in 3GPP RAN1, RAN2, RAN3, RAN4 and RAN 5 from a ETSI Mobile Competence Centre (MCC) perspective to a delegate and contributor on many 3GPP RAN features from Rel-99 to 5G. I first joined the ETSI Mobile Competence Centre (MCC) in 1999.

During my undergraduate studies, I was part of an internship programme in Motorola, obtained a NASA scholarship and was trained as an Army Reserve Officer. I obtained Senior Member of IEEE, acquired my PhD and received a Chinese Language Certificate along the way.

I joined MCC again in 2021, where I will be working as a Technical Officer for the 3GPP partnership project.

I am German-Italian and was born in sunny Genoa. I did then my engineering studies on Telecommunication Science at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany.

After different works at two German Fraunhofer Research Institutes of Microelectronics and Audio Coding in Erlangen I finalized my thesis in the area of the Layer 3 MPEG codec, later known as the famous mp3 format.

In almost 10 years of project work for the German system integrator Keynote SIGOS I had the chance to participate in different ETSI STFs like the long-duration TF 160 for mobile 3G conformance. Thus, I was able to experience the TTCN test language. In SIGOS I partly worked as a consultant for network operators and mobile terminal manufacturers, dealing with all kinds of protocols.

I am now happy to have joined the MCC secretariat in 2008 to support the TSG RAN5 and GERAN3 working groups for conformance testing at the 2G and 3G Radio interface (Uu/Um).

I’m from Tunisia, I continued my electrical engineering studies in France and received my PhD on digital communications in 2018 from Telecom ParisTech. In my last experience, I’ve worked for more than 3 years as a physical layer research engineer with TCL communications 5G Lab where I acquired an experience in 3GPP RAN1 standardization activities.

I joined the ETSI Mobile Competence Centre (MCC) in 2021 as a contracted expert of China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) in order to support, at first, 3GPP TSG CT WG3

I graduated from the University of Essex (http://www.essex.ac.uk) with a Master of Science (MSc.) Degree in Telecommunications and Information Systems.

I joined the ETSI Secretariat in 1991 and worked as a Technical Officer for many of ETSI's Technical Committees. I currently support the 3GPP TSG SA, where I hold the role of Secretary to the TSG SA Plenary and am responsible for 3GPP TSG SA WG2.

I'm also the IT co-ordinator for the MCC Support Team.

I have been a member of 3GPP Mobile Competence Centre since its inception in 1999, when it was originally called “ETSI STF12”.

Today, I am supporting a range of 3GPP activities. One of my main roles is to undertake the overall 3GPP coordination of the content and calendar for each new 3GPP Release. In order to achieve this, I make use of the 3GPP Work Plan, a tool I created several years ago which is now commonly used by the 3GPP community to monitor the progress of the definition of the 3G (UMTS), then 4G (LTE) and now 5G Mobile systems. Related to this, I am also the editor of the "3GPP Release Description" series of documents (TR 21.91x), which explains the content of each completed Release. I also support the group responsible for 3GPP service definition, SA1.

Between 2005 and 2009, in addition to supporting 3GPP work, I assisted in the creation and operation of several ETSI groups, such as TISPAN (fixed network), GSMR (GSM for Railways), MSG and TFES (which provides the link between ETSI and the European Commission), etc.

When I first joined ETSI in 1999, I supported the Network Architecture group (ETSI SMG12, that became 3GPP SA2), which I previously attended as an Orange delegate, keeping my duties of Editor of the "3G Network Architecture" Technical Specification (TS 23.002).

Prior to ETSI, I worked as a Research Engineer at Orange Labs for 3 years. In addition to my involvement in internal projects, my main mission was to represent the Orange group at ETSI and ITU-T for the definition of 3G, where I played an active role including editing a number of technical specifications and chairing a few ad-hoc groups.

Between 1994-1995, I completed a 12-month stint with the French Airforce labs, for my military duty, as a "Military Scientist", working on signal processing for a 3D-sound simulator project.

In 1994, I graduated from CentraleSupelec, a renowned engineer school near Paris, with a specialisation in Telecommunications.

I am from Tenerife, in the Canary Islands (Spain), son of a Finnish mother and a Spanish father. I graduated in the University of La Laguna in 2001 as an Electronics Engineer, having performed my master thesis about video coding techniques for wireless networks in the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

I always felt the urge of seeing the world outside my island and I left in 2003 to work in Madrid for Vodafone, my first experience inside a big telecom corporation. After a brief experience as network operator in British Telecom I got a position of technical consultant for Telefónica R&D in a great variety of projects: participation in EU research projects (Daidalos, Ambient Networks), standardization activities in 3GPP and ETSI related to Fixed Mobile Convergence and LTE, consultancy on IMS (IP Multimedia System), and I was also Telefónica´s representative in the Technical Committee of the NGMN consortium (Next Generation of Mobile Networks).

Since I enjoyed immensely the multicultural environment in the international projects I participated in, I decided to move to The Netherlands in 2009 to work as a consultant in TNO (former KPN R&D). I continued following the work of several working groups in 3GPP and ETSI (3GPP SA1, 3GPP SA2, ETSI SES, ETSI ITS), but the main part of my work was dedicated to the study of the fast-evolving Machine to Machine technologies. I was a delegate in the ETSI TC Machine to Machine (M2M) for two years, where I had the chance of organizing one of their meetings in The Netherlands and also participated as a member of the Program Committee of the first Machine to Machine workshop held in Sophia Antipolis (October 2010).

I started working in ETSI Secretariat in March 2012, where I give technical support to the 3GPP groups SA3 and SA5.

Dr. Carmine Rizzo, CISA CISM CMP ITIL PRINCE2

At ETSI I am the point of reference for security standardization activities and responsible for the supervision, coordination and promotion of ETSI security standardization work within and across various Technical Committees.

I obtained a Master Degree in Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering in Italy, followed by a Ph.D. in Radio Communications in the United Kingdom.

His background includes experiences both in the private sector and in international organizations, working as engineer and manager of IT projects, services and security.

I have gained, and actively maintain, several professional certifications covering broad aspects of security and project management, change management, IT audit, control, and service management.

Jaeeta is a professional in wireless communication technologies with a deep engagement in ICT and related research and standardization for 4+ years.

She has been associated with TSDSI since its early days; currently as Manager, Standardization, and she has been working with relevant stakeholders (industry, academia, R&D and start-ups) of the telecom ecosystem in India and abroad. During this role, she has had the opportunity to work closely with various global SDOs including 3GPP and ITU-R which has given her a holistic understanding of standards life cycle management. She is familiar with the standardization process flow and associated dynamics of it.

Jayeeta received the M.S. (By Research) degree in Wireless Communications & Technologies from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India in 2015. Her research work comprised designing cross-layer optimization techniques for OFDM based wireless communication systems. She has worked on LTE specified systems, and has developed algorithms for LA, RRA, power control, margin correction for delay analysis etc. She has also worked in an ISRO sponsored project for designing baseband algorithms for Ka-band satellite links. Her research works are published in international conferences and journals.

I'm a MSc graduate from the Åbo Akademi University in Finland. In addition I have a vocational upper secondary education as software analyst. I joined the ETSI Secretariat in 2000 and have worked as a Technical Officer for various ETSI Technical Committees. Prior to joining ETSI I was working as a software designer in Ericsson covering both fixed and mobile network environments.

Currently my main task in 3GPP is to support the working group SA6. Furthermore I also support the following ETSI Technical Committees; PLT, Safety, SES, TCCE and TG DMR.

I began my career in the traditional fixed telecommunications area within British Telecom but in 1984 I joined the Radio Regulatory Department of the DTI where I spent many happy years involved in radio investigation activities. This included a substantial amount of work with mobile radio systems. I began working for ETSI in 1992 when I moved from the South of England to the South of France.

Since joining ETSI I have worked with many different Technical Committees and have been Secretary of the former ETSI Technical Assembly and more recently the ETSI Board. As Secretary to the Board I was heavily involved in the discussions which led to the creation of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 3GPP). I am currently the ETSI CTO, but still hold the role of Head the Mobile Competence Centre (MCC) which has the primary role of supporting 3GPP.

MCC has a very demanding task to perform which involves the full commitment of the whole team. There is more to life than work though, so I try to instill a policy of "work hard and play hard". So far it seems to have worked!

I graduated in telecommunications engineering in 2002 from both Télécom-Bretagne, and Eurecom. I received my Ph.D. degree in Communication Systems from Eurecom / Télécom-Paris, in October 2006. In 2018, I graduated from Kellogg School of Management | Northwestern University with an MBA (majors: on finance and Marketing).

I began my career in 2005 as a research engineer on LTE at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), South Korea. In January 2007, I joined NXP semiconductors (later became ST-Ericsson) Research and Development Center in Sophia Antipolis, where I was working on LTE algorithms development. In November 2009, I joined ETSI as contracted expert acting first as Technical Officer for TSG RAN WG4 then for TSG RAN WG3. I am author of several research papers and patents and co-editor of the book on LTE: LTE – The UMTS Long Term Evolution: From Theory to Practice.

I'm French, and I'm the "local guy" here in MCC since I have spent most of my life on the French Riviera. I graduated from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis with a MSc degree in computer sciences.

Before joining the MCC in June 2008, I worked for MTN, a mobile telecommunication group operating in 21 countries in Africa and the Middle-East. I was employed by its subsidiary MTN International Carrier Services (Monaco), as VAS (Value Added Services) and signalling supervisor.

Since then, I have been the secretary to 3GPP TSG CT WG1. In June 2020, I became the 3GPP specifications manager.

In 2002, I graduated from Telecom Bretagne (the birthplace of turbo codes) in France with a Master's degree in Telecommunications, Network & Information Systems.

In the same year, I joined NOKIA in the UK as a Protocol Software Engineer , as part of the R&D division developing the WCDMA Radio Access protocol stack for the NOKIA 3G mobile phones. This is where I started getting involved in standardization activities, being one of the NOKIA delegates in 3GPP TSG RAN Working Group 5 (RAN5), contributing to the specification of Releases 99, 4, 5 (HSDPA) & 6 (HSUPA).

In 2006, I moved to Japan and joined Anritsu Corporation, as a Senior Technical Consultant within the R&D division developing wireless test equipment for the mobile phone industry. As part of my product architecture & design activities I continued my involvement into the standardization arena as Anritsu delegate of the 3GPP TSG RAN Working Group 2 (RAN2). I followed closely the evolution of HSPA standardization (Releases 7 & 8) and then focused on the standardization of LTE & IMS technologies (Releases 8, 9, 10 & 11).

In 2013, I moved back to France and joined ETSI where I currently hold the position of Task Force (TF) 160 Project Manager. TF160 is a team of around 20 protocol testing experts from various 3GPP partners, mainly from Europe and Asia, that are developing test specifications (in TTCN-3 language) for the 3GPP TSG RAN Working Group 5 (RAN5) and TSG GERAN Working Group 3 (GERAN3).

I graduated from the University of Padua, Italy, and obtained a Master 2 from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis.

I have been with ETSI since 2016 supporting different projects, among which the STFs and the EU-funded "InDiCo" project.

I joined the Mobile Competence Cetre team in 2021.I work as a Personal Assistant to the ETSI CTO, Adrian Scrase, and provide support to the MCC and to the ETSI Operations Division. Among my functions, I take care of the 3GPP financial status follow-up, and of the Listserv management.

I work to make our marketing effort a success, in cooperation with the regional partners in 3GPP.

Recently, I have spent a lot of time thinking about the 3gpp web site, as it is my responsibility to bring more news and interesting content to 3gpp.org and @3gpplive, ensuring that the on-line marketing content is as good as we can make it.

I am of British / English origin, I started work in 1983 for Texas Instruments, ending-up in the UK semi-conductor Sales and Marketing team. When the factory closed in the UK, I moved to the South of France, joining ETSI in 1996.

I would be very happy to hear from others in the community who want to take our news on-the-road or to get some web pages written about our successes...or who just want to get some marketing information about the Project.

I am the 3GPP's Liaison co-ordinator and also responsible for the Liaison webpages, I deal with all aspects of 3GPP Membership and the voting preparation for TSG/WG. I'm also responsible for the 3GPPContact Mailbox and I provide secretarial support to 3GPP Plenary meetings.

I graduated from the Skema University in Sophia Antipolis with a Master degree.

I have been working for ETSI since the middle of 1994 and from my position in ETSI, I have followed the evolution of GSM.

As part of the team of three girls, I support 20 Experts based in the ETSI Secretariat involved in 3GPP standardization. I also provide direct help to the Chairmen and Participants in all working groups.

One of my major tasks is to budget & to organize, "from A to Z" , the 3GPP meetings abroad on behalf of the European Friends of 3GPP. Meetings can vary from 60 to 700 people.
