Non-Public 5G Networks in India

Jan 10,2022

A recent report from 3GPP Market Representation Partner – The Broadband India forum (BIF) brings an Indian perspective to the use of 5G in the enterprise space - independent of public roll-outs. Non-Public 5G Networks (NPN) are set to allow Indian manufacturing and business to meet a variety of use cases, that are set to keep the region’s industry in the driving seat for preparedness for full 5G.

The Non-Public 5G Networks in India: Policy, Regulatory and Sector Perspective White Paper identifies issues affecting the roll-out of NPN Private 5G, helping to provide a roadmap, called for by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on IT.

The White Paper is based on extensive desk research, interactions with various industry experts and contextualizing an existing use case model for the Indian port and smart manufacturing sectors.

Its 29 pages cover the Drivers for NPNs, the India context of NPNs, Deployment Models as well as an Overview of NPN Spectrum usage.
